Job Summary
The College of Education at Georgia Southwestern State University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will contribute to the College's mission by teaching courses in their area of expertise, engaging in scholarly research, and participating in service activities.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include: teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses; academic advising; supervision of student teachers; engaging in professional development and scholarship activities; service contributions to the College of Education and University. The applicant may also teach other classes, as assigned, consistent with the candidate¿s expertise and qualifications.

Required Qualifications
An earned Doctorate or ABD in Elementary Education or closely related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students

Preferred Qualifications
An earned degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in a content field in education,

At least three years of public school teaching experience preferred, and

Demonstrated ability to teach using technology in the classroom and/or online course delivery.
