University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC_ is seeking a Division Chief for Epilepsy with proven administrative capabilities in leading a department, division, or clinical group.

About the Leadership Position
- This position would be under the general direction of the Department Chair and Vice Chair of Clinical Operations
- You would participate in the divisional and department (both professional and technical) budgetary planning, assist in the preparation of reports, maintain informative, up to date web site information for the division, and active participation in the annual performance evaluation process.
- Lead or foster research from the General Comprehensive Neurology division.
About The Department of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh & UPMC
- The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology encompasses all services for adults with epilepsy. Together with Pediatric Epilepsy, the _University of Pittsburgh Comprehensive Epilepsy Center (UPCEC)_ is accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a level 4 epilepsy center. The UPCEC provides stateoftheart diagnostic and treatment services to adults and children with seizures. The center is a joint program combining the resources of the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP). Clinical services span outpatient clinics, EEG and continuous videoEEG monitoring across the UPMC network, and subspecialty clinics in functional seizures, RNS, women's epilepsy, and multidisciplinary clinic with neurosurgery for epilepsy surgery candidates. In addition, research conducted at the Epilepsy Center has contributed to the introduction of multiple new antiepileptic drugs over the past decades, innovative approaches to presurgical evaluations and improving surgical outcomes for patients with drugresistant epilepsy, signal processing of intracranial EEG activity, and advancing the treatment of women with epilepsy during reproductive years.
