Assistant Professor Palliative Care: The UTMB Department of Medicine (DOM) is recruiting an energetic and enthusiastic Palliative care physician to join this growing department. The successful candidate will provide care to patients of the Palliative Medicine practice in the ambulatory and inpatient settings; participate in the education and mentorship of medical students, interns, residents, and fellows; participate in departmental meetings and committee meetings; and other scholarly activities. Currently nested within Geriatrics, Palliative Care is poised for growth across our multi-hospital health system. The current Palliative Care team consists of two Physicians, two Advanced Practice Providers, two Social Workers, and a part-time Chaplain.

Position Qualifications:

  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Palliative Medicine Fellowship training.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas state medical license.
