Responsible for scheduling and implementing local training and ensuring that all employees receive their required training, as well as career enhancement training.
Works with institution department heads to assure adequate training plans exist to train probationary staff, as well as seasoned employees, and assists as necessary in the instruction of trainees enrolled in institution training courses.
Work closely with the Training Coaches and Certified Instructors in preparation for local trainings by assisting in developing teaching concepts and techniques, as well as the use and maintenance of all classroom equipment.
Assists in managing the institution's career development program and Staff Mentoring Program.Responsible for tracking of mandatory training to ensure all staff are compliant and in line with the Mandatory Training Standards, as well as the American Correctional Association (ACA) Standards to ensure Accreditation is maintained.
Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
