Hexcel is currently seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Oversee the cycle counting and warehouse inventory management.
- Audit cycle and inventory counts, reconcile counts and recounts; ensures inventory is accurate and properly identified, post and sign cycle count journals.
- Collaborate with other functional groups to drive inventory control process improvements.
- Analyze cycle count adjustments to develop root cause and countermeasures.
- Assists in managing Slow Moving and Obsolete Goods (SMOG) through regular reporting, meetings, and driving accountability for actions.
- Manages scrap process through monthly reporting and running monthly scrap meeting.
- Develop and maintain area work instructions and assure compliance.
- Directly supervise hourly bargaining unit employees in area of responsibility. Train, plan, assign, and direct work in accordance with applicable policies, collective bargaining agreement and laws.
- Prepare for and support to internal and external inventory audits.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of inventory management/cycle counting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change that reduces total cost and/or enhances service levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates integrity and ethical decision making.
- Able to work effectively within your team and around other departments and their activities.
- Ability to adapt to new ideas, technology, processes, or product changes.
- Prior success in mentoring, motivating, and retaining employees in a fast-paced environment strongly preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Internet literate.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. AX2012 experience preferred.
