We're looking for a top finance and accounting executive to report directly to the CEO and lead our finance department. This is our first executive-team finance hire and represents a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to get in on the ground floor. We need to move fast, scale quickly and expand our platform globally.

The VP of Finance & Accounting will be a hands-on finance leader who will focus on developing insightful analysis, models, and recommendations that enable the executive team to make the best strategic and tactical decisions. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating financial wisdom and foresight and the ability to efficiently manage complex financial analysis, modeling, and related tasks with a high-level of detail orientation.

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning: You will own and drive the budgeting and forecasting processes by building financial and valuation models (including performing market research and comps.) and championing business modeling and analysis to enable stakeholders to more deeply understand and communicate business performance.
Direct accounting policies: You will oversee procedures and internal controls to comply with new or existing statutory, regulatory, or contractual requirements, including the month-end close process and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. You will also proactively address P&L issues that arise across the business and drive resolution collaboratively.
Guide strategic finance: You will guide, analyze and participate in debt and equity financings, M&A, and other potential transactions and opportunities. You will also make decisions regarding business investment and treasury management, float management and financing strategies.
Lead finance organization: You will hire and develop top finance professionals in various technical capacities as the company grows and create performance and operational metrics tracking mechanisms and reporting.
Manage cross-functional relationships: You will interface extensively with the executive leadership team to drive financial education and inform strategic decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

10+ years as a finance professional in technology
4+ years of experience in a start-up environment or fast growing company.
Expert-level understanding of peer-to-peer marketplace financial dynamics
Strong FP&A background and fundamental knowledge of GAAP accounting standards
Highly skilled at modeling and analyzing debt and equity financing, M&A, and other potential transactions/opportunities.
Knowledge of monetary markets, business investment management, float management and financing strategies
Exceptional eye for detail and comfort managing very large amounts of data.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence discussing and presenting information and conclusions in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the organization.
Bachelor's degree required
Ability to work on-site at our Lehi, UT location
