An NIH-funded Postdoctoral fellowship position is immediately available in the Department of Pathology & Immunology, Washington University School of Medicine, St.

Louis, MO, United States. The Mosammaparast Lab is seeking postdoctoral fellows to study signaling pathways induced during nucleic acid damage and DNA repair, with links to DNA replication, RNA modifications, and inflammation in cancer (Brickner et al, Nature 2017; Zhao et al, Molecular Cell 2018; Lemacon et al, Nature Commun 2017; Byrum et al, J Cell Biol 2019, Tsao et al, Molecular Cell 2021; Lukinovic et al, Cancer Discovery 2022, Ashour et al, J Cell Biol 2023, Townley et al, Molecular Cell These projects will involve biochemical methods, high resolution microscopy, single molecule DNA replication analysis, transcriptomics, proteomics, CRISPR genome editing and screening, and other state-of-the-art methods. Dr.

Mosammaparast co-leads the DNA Metabolism & Repair (DMR) program at the Washington University Siteman Cancer center, a basic science group that includes nearly 20 laboratories from multiple departments interested in genome stability and cancer.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate, with a publication record in molecular biology and cell biology.

Training in specific biomedical methods and techniques will be offered, however preference will be given to individuals with hands-on experience using current techniques associated with DNA damage responses.
