PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a showroom Gatekeeper you will be setting the stage from the moment our guests enter the lobby until the time they leave. Gatekeepers are a vital link in creating an outstanding theatrical experience our guests have come to expect. We are looking for those shinning stars who greet our guests with a smile, hear the guests needs and will go above and beyond to own their experience leaving the guests saying "WOW".

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests and interact with guests, displaying SHOW Service at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Work under guidance and follow Supervisor's direction and needs.
  • Show guests to seats and attend to their needs.
  • Adhere to the policies, practices and procedures of the property and department.
  • Watch stations throughout the show to monitor guest behaviors including picture taking, camcorders and disrupting of the show.
  • Handle guest complaints.
  • Be knowledgeable of showroom layout
  • Monitor doors, guest entry and exit.
  • Monitor specific seating areas (VIP, General Admission, etc.) and direct guests to their area based on their purchased ticket
  • Assist the performance through the accurate and timely preset and execution of production cues throughout the theater including the placement, retrieval, management, and handoff of props, escorting pre-selected and ad hoc audience participants during the show, prepping the house during changeover between performances
  • Maintain awareness of all the property restaurants, services, shows, events and property amenities
  • Keep leadership apprised of all unusual situations, customer concerns, and other irregularities as required
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
  • Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

  • Previous theatre or box office experience.
  • Previous experience with two way radio.
  • Front of house experience in a theatrical environment
  • Experience presetting and executing cues
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting
