Manager - Poker

Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following.

Hires, trains, coaches and counsels all Poker Dealers.
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding any issues.
Must be able to deliver directives in a clear and concise manner to all personnel.
Responsible for a timely review system.
Must ensure that all Poker Room personnel conform / adhere to procedures in accordance with company Internal Controls and Louisiana State Regulations. (i.e. Gaming, Credit, Support Services and handling of major customer disputes).
Responsible for training and follow-up of changes with any IC's or LA Gaming Regulations.
Must have a thorough understanding of Poker (Hold, Percentages, Game Protection), scheduling, evaluations, hiring and termination of personnel. Implements new and challenging ways to have fun at work.
Good rapport with people ensuring that it filters down in a positive way.
Supervisory Responsibilities Manages two subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Poker Room. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And/Or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane
and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact
s, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Louisiana Gaming License, LACT and/or TIPS card required.
