Perform as a head kicker on paracargo missions.Instruct in annual paracargo refresher training.
Assists in establishment of paracargo training guidelines.
Manage paracargo operations. Plan work, set priorities and delegate assignments. Direct the proper rigging of equipment, cargo chutes and supplies.
Serves as a smokejumper in initial attack of wildfires by parachuting into fires and mountainous terrain and landing in timber or on open ground.
May lead firefighters as initial attack commander. May lead firefighters as extended attack commander.Supervises others in a leadership role on prescribed fire and suppression projects.
