Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst-FP&A

Location: Remote

IDT, a fast-growing company in the Life Sciences market, is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to join an expanding FP&A team. The Senior Financial Analyst will focus on internal financial reporting and have a principal role as a finance business partner responsible for forecasting, variance analysis and ad hoc analytical support. The role requires exceptional communication skills to convey insightful and actionable data driven analysis and recommendations to leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mentality, be a self-starter and thrive in a high growth environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide concise and insightful commentary on monthly financial results vs forecast
  • Provide personnel and expense forecasting support to enable leadership to effectively manage their operating expense budgets
  • Play a critical role in the monthly accounting close process by providing forecast versus actuals analytics, journalizing accruals where necessary, and raising issues with accounting and finance leadership
  • Responsible for ongoing review of open POs and expenses throughout the period in collaboration with business partners
  • Key contributor to the annual budgeting process
  • Build insightful & repeatable reporting packages to help explain expense trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Serve as an advocate for business partners, helping to present investment cases and facilitate trade-off discussions
  • Develops processes and documents standard operating procedures for key accounting and business processes
  • Serve as a process and ERP subject matter expert
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, knowledge sharing and act as a resource to colleagues within the team.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably Finance or Accounting

Professional Experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience required

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and clearly convey findings and recommendations to leadership
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy with an aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies
  • Track record of excelling at researching, quantifying, and communicating actionable insights to cross-functional leadership teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with multiple levels throughout the organization
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Power BI suite
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for financial analysis and reporting, including revenue recognition
  • Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) conducts drug screens and background checks on applicants who accept employment offers.

The salary range for this role is $83,800 to $95,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
