The work of a Medical Assistant is crucial in delivering exceptional patient care by providing support to physicians and clinicians. As a multi-skilled healthcare professional, you will be responsible for both administrative tasks and clinical duties in our primary care facilities.

Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care Southchase facility

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

  • Conduct pre-visit planning based on patient needs
  • Manage provider schedules for optimal workflow
  • Record medical history and vital signs accurately
  • Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures and treatments
  • Carry out specimen collection and point of care testing
  • Administer medications under healthcare providers' direction
  • Ensure precise documentation in electronic health records
  • Maintain quality control standards

Utilize your skills to create a meaningful impact

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant diploma or completion certificate from a recognized program
  • Valid CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification
  • Experience in direct patient care and back-office operations
  • Familiarity with HEDIS, ICD, and CPT coding
  • Proficiency in Phlebotomy
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Work Hours for Medical Assistant:

Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM

Full-time position with 40 scheduled hours per week

Potential local travel might be necessary; Reimbursement provided for mileage

Important Note:

This position involves direct patient interaction and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis screening program. Selected candidates will undergo TB screening as a requirement.

Additional Screening Information:

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a must. Candidates should demonstrate fluency in both languages without assistance. Proficiency tests may be required. Any communication in a language other than English will be evaluated through a language assessment.
