Key Responsibilities:

United is seeking a Sr. Manager - DevOps that is experienced and highly skilled to help expand and reinforce cloud deployment processes for collections of applications migrating to Cloud using robust DevOps Techniques. Requires experience in full stack applications with cloud native and hybrid application tech stack. Unapproaches the DevOps mentality to shape and lead infrastructure and full lifecycle, automated, product delivery solutions. Applies knowledge and extensive experience in software development, systems administration, development operations, performance monitoring / reporting, and Agile to build high-performance, scalable solutions for Airline Operations teams. Will be leading DevOps initiatives and developing systems and software to create automated build environments, and full Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment solutions. Proficient in configuration management and infrastructure as code are key to the success of this role. Will work well in Agile environments and have vast hands-on experience with DevOps and full lifecycle ALM tools, including administration, configuration, development and deployment.

Represent Adaptavist as a Subject Matter Expert and guide Airline Operations teams to success. Must apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to improve the benefit of IT and Business investments."

  • Own the technical Vision, Design & Architecture of our DevOps Platform & Methodology
  • Lead and manage highly motivated DevOps engineers under multiple Airline Operations teams and help multiple teams to adapt to continuous build, inspection, testing and deployment Using
  • DevOps and DevSecOps strategies
  • Lead our 8-12 Core Support Contractors
  • Provide operational support for the critically important Tier 1 Airline Operation applications as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions
  • Participate in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and promote industry standard methodologies in DevOps Engineering
  • Help to configure DevOps stack with regards to performance monitoring, analytics, and audit-ability with hands on coding and oversight ensuring things are run right
  • Evaluate gaps in related to DevOps standard processes
  • Develop and maintain installation, configuration and operations procedures as per the new emerging industry standard standards
  • Be the leader in the industry and have a pulse of innovation and sharing with other teams
  • Work with the Development, project/product management organizations to align projects, releases, patches, and other efforts Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant filed is required
  • 10 + yrs of experience in DevOps Architecture with CI/CD, Scripting with AWS, Azure or IBM Bluemix Cloud
  • Implementation experience of CI/CD for projects/platforms on both on-prem and Cloud or Hybrid
  • Implementation experience of DevOps pipelines with reusability and reliability
  • Successful in spinning up Cloud environments with Infrastructure as Code
  • Implementation of DevSecOps Pipelines
  • Successful track record of delivering AWS EKS environments and CI/CD pipelines for critical applications
  • Excellent down time management of Production sites in DevOps role during deployments
  • Successful implementation of Trunk Based Development and single click deployments with rolling updates and achieved zero downtime
  • Showcase strong mentoring skills to lift other team members in various Technical concepts and Automation approaches
  • Experienced in Harness tools
  • Have code on GitHub for personal or public open-source projects (attach links)
  • Proficient with Kubernetes and cloud native architectures also writing python and PowerShell scripts in filling gaps in automation workflows
  • Design and Implementation of CI/CD pipelines for diverse range of Tech stacks using diverse range of tools
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills and open and quick in learning and adapting to newer technologies, different tools and frameworks
  • Need to have excellent oral, written communication and inter-personal skills
  • Should be Conversant in techno-functional knowledge on multiple platforms viz., DevOps tools, with vertical domain expertise in Trading, Airlines, Banking and Data Analytics, Data Warehousing and Product life cycle
  • Must possess good organizational ability and comfortable working independently as well as in teams
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of:SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards and processes on DevOps Implementations
  • DevOps methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles
  • DevOps engineering and DevSecOps standard methodologies such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management, Securing application, Quality Gating and
  • Automation with Zero Touch Deployment
  • Ability to clearly articulate design and implementation choices Continuous integration tools such as Harness TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar
  • Scripting (Bash, Python, Pearl) skills for monitoring and automation
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of application architecture and architecture constructs as it connects to the enterprise architecture and industry standard practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization
  • Able to work and lead distributed teams (on shore and off)
  • Proficient at architecting systems following the prescribed technology policies or architectural footprint
  • Proficient at working problems of high complexity, Large size scope
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
