SAIC is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates will support system builds, implement information security best practices, security analysis, integration software installation and documentation of unique hardware and custom software in a Microsoft and Linux environment.
  • The selected candidate will perform tasks dealing with code scanning and system scans for compliance with DoD cybersecurity best practices.
  • Candidate should have basic technical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework for Department of Defense Information Technology (RMF for DoD IT).
  • The ability to work independently and within a larger group of engineers and cybersecurity professionals will be required.
  • Written and verbal communication skills are necessary for updating POA&M items, standard operating procedures and offering up possible courses of action for the management of risk.
  • Candidate will research DoD policy and complete various security tasking.
  • System accreditations/authorizations through the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) - experience with the Army Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assess and Authorize (A&A) process preferred.
  • The selected candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years of more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience.

Technical certification(s):

  • Must meet DoD M minimum of IAT Level II Certification (i.e. Security + CE).
  • Candidates without a current IAT-II Certification may be considered but must obtain full certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Microsoft Desktop or Sever certifications, Linux Administration, Cisco CCNA R/S and Security, and other industry recognized Security certifications (CISSP, CASP, SANs, etc.) preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Background in running Nessus SC scanning software, utilizing ACAS to scan a system/network segment
  • Background in using / setup of Fortify code scanning tool (will work with SW team on setup parameters)
  • Understanding and validating NIST Security Controls; CNSSI 1253 Security Controls and Overlays
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, implementing, and assessing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DISA Security Requirement Guides (SRGs), and NSA Security Configuration Guides

Clearance:

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance.

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
