Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated team members who will champion the Select Medical Way - prioritizing patients, enhancing community quality of life, encouraging innovation, providing top-tier care, and upholding ethical practices.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will collaborate with highly skilled medical professionals and some of the country's finest critical care nurses. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will conduct routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation.

  • Performing patient services like bathing using specialized products, oral hygiene, hair care, and feeding.
  • Responding promptly to patient calls and providing services that promote their physical well-being.
  • Participating in regular rounds.
  • Transporting patients to and from treatment centers as needed, aiding in patient transfers.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of instruments and equipment like bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
  • Keeping patient rooms orderly and hygienic, including bed-making.
  • Managing unit supplies and equipment levels as instructed.
Qualifications

Your role involves understanding patient requirements to ensure each patient feels informed, heard, and cared for. You are enthusiastic about delivering superior care and are a creative problem-solver who excels in a dynamic environment.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • BLS certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Prior experience in a hospital as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or relevant experience such as medical assisting or enrollment in a nursing program.

Desired qualifications vital for your success:

  • Thorough knowledge of basic nursing procedures, aseptic practices, and cardio-pulmonary techniques.

Nursing students may qualify as nurse assistants with State Practice Act approval.
