Lake Tahoe Preparatory School seeks to hire an experienced humanities teacher, who will be responsible for teaching English 1-4 and a section of US History.

The successful candidate will prepare and implement daily lesson plans as well as collaborate with colleagues.

Candidates should have demonstrated success teaching to a range of learners and at least two years prior teaching experience. Using a variety of strategies and modalities, the position will necessitate differentiation and consistent assessments. A Master's degree in a related field and AP experience is preferred.

The average class size at Lake Tahoe Prep is 5-9 students.

All teachers are responsible for implementing the current curriculum, which is in line with the California state standards. Successful candidates will have experience with the thoughtful integration of technology in the classroom.

They are also responsible for communicating with LTP administration, leading daily afternoon activities or clubs, serving as a student advisor, proctoring one study hall a week, and working one weekend per month.

Boarding school experience is a plus. LTP seeks positive, enthusiastic, and versatile individuals who wish to become an active part of our learning community.
