Internship - Medical Affairs

General Summary

The Medical Affairs Intern will assist the Medical Affairs team with various tasks, including data analysis, grant research, developing educational resources, logistics and community engagement This hands-on internship provides the incumbent with the opportunity to obtain hands on experience in Medical Affairs, Community Engagement and Public Health. This internship will provide the incumbent with a comprehensive understanding of Medical Affairs functions and their role within the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Logistics for tabling events
Assist with setting up for events
Scheduling meetings and keeping minutes
Research and Data Analysis
Monthly newsletter/update to board members
Create social media posts
Analyze population and individual level data
Develop educational resources (flyers, diagrams, brochures, educational social media posts)
Gain an understanding of the duties and responsibilities of public health professionals
Gain an understanding of fund raising/writing grants
Gain leadership skills and professional development
Learn about precision medicine, genetics, and the future of medicine

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education: Junior at 4-year college/university in a healthcare or STEM related field
