White River Junction, Vermont, United States The Loomis Chaffee School Full time

The Loomis Chaffee School announces a search for an Economics teacher to begin in August of 2024. The preferred candidate has a degree in economics and the ability to teach a diverse suite of electives in the discipline. Experience teaching in the field is preferred but not essential, and the ability to teach courses in an additional academic area is desired. Candidates should show enthusiasm for collaboration and strive to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational to their curriculum and teaching.

In addition to teaching Economics, other responsibilities could include dormitory residence or association and participation in the after-school program at the school in a manner commensurate with the candidate's skills. Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school, and while housing is a possibility, consideration will be given both to candidates who seek to live on campus and to candidates who would prefer to live in their own residence locally.

Candidates should attach a cover letter, a resume, any letters of recommendation available, and a list of references to their application.

The Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school of 700 students and 170 faculty members, located in the historic town of Windsor, Connecticut. Chartered in 1874, the school provides an academically challenging curriculum within a supportive community that affirms individual beliefs and differences.
