ContiTech, a division of Continental, is one of the world's leading suppliers of technical elastomer products and is a specialist in plastics technology. ContiTech develops and produces functional parts, components, and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive industry, and other important industries. Our Somersworth, NH location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented operator to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us?

  1. Operate up to 5 (five) workstations/ cells to produce parts in accordance with equipment specifications, SOP's, and Work Instructions.
  2. Ensure that equipment setup is completed in accordance with the appropriate Work Instructions, and that the First Off process is followed correctly. Complete all necessary production and quality documentation.
  3. Monitor equipment to ensure the produced parts are in compliance with specifications and quality requirements. Quality or production concerns must be communicated to the Shift Supervisor. Perform in-process visual and instrumented inspections. Document the results as described in the Inspection Instruction and Failure Catalogue (including appearance, superficial defects, debris, shards and similar).
  4. Ensure that the operation of the production equipment is done in accordance with the daily and weekly production plans. Notify Supervision of any significant deviations from the daily production plan immediately.
  5. Ensure that all Materials, Components, Work-in-Process, and Finished Goods are properly identified with labels, at all steps in the process.
  6. Participate in auditing processes, as required. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  7. Maintain a clean workspace including housekeeping and cleanliness, including 5S work environment standards and communicating safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to complete basic data entry in computer systems as well as basic math skills. Operate up to 5 workstations in own departmental area (Final Assembly, Blow Mold or Formed Extrusion).
  • Other Skills / Abilities: Must be capable of setting up production equipment to specifications, able to inspect produced parts for compliance with Quality specifications, and able to read and understand work instructions. Must be able to speak English. Good communication skills required.
