Job Description
While on call, your responsibilities include:
Answering patient's questions and triaging concerns over the phoneAdvising the patient to be seen in clinic, Village Medical Urgent Care or at the hospital when appropriateEvaluating and treating a patient in urgent care or at the hospital which may include:
Ordering/interpreting point of care testing (UA, wet mount, NST)Listening with a doppler for fetal heart tonesPelvic and/or cervical examOrdering imaging or additional lab work and following up/treating as necessaryConsulting the "deck doc" (OBGYN physician on call at Poudre Valley Hospital or Medical Center of the Rockies) or Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) for c-section or high risk patientsAdmitting pregnant or post partum patients from the ER for complications related to pregnancy or consulting when our pregnant patients may be admitted by another service (general surgery, trauma, hospitalists)Answering concerns from the hospital staff regarding our admitted patientsAdmitting patients in labor and delivering patients if PCP is unavailableStarting an induction for a patientConsulting with a Village Medical Urgent Care or Village Medical Family Practice Provider about an OB patientSubmitting billing charges from the hospital in Athena to be reviewed by the billing department
For Colorado Residents only: The total compensation for this role is $250 per day/night with upside opportunity based on care completed.
