Physician (Cardiologist)

The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital is recruiting for a Full-Time, Permanent, Physician (Cardiologist) and reports directly to the Chief of Cardiology.

Physician (Cardiologist, Non-Invasive) salary range is from $310,000 to $340,000

Physician (Cardiologist, Invasive) salary range is from $340,000 to $370,000

The City of Loma Linda is a scenic community located within eyesight of the towering peaks of the San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains.

Loma Linda is located approximately 60 miles east of Los Angeles in San Bernardino County. While it is near the highly developed job market of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, it does provide a small town setting for your home, work or recreation. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting

The duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage patients on the inpatient coronary care unit that includes daytime and night-time call.
• See patients in outpatient specialty clinics.
• Perform cardiology consultations in inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Participate in noninvasive cardiac procedures (ECG, stress testing, Holter and event monitoring, echocardiograms).
• Administrative duties will include development and implementation of cardiac-specific inpatient flow and management protocols.
• Collaborate with other services to improve cardiology-specific hospital-wide inpatient metrics.
