Job Summary

The Systems Analyst I works with Business Analysts, Business Unit Managers, and various committees to facilitate the successful design, development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support of various software systems and applications. This position is responsible for many day-to-day application support activities but operates under the guidance and direction of the Systems Analyst Manager with respect to system administration (changes, development, and maintenance).

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Recommend and justify application modifications that enable the organization to achieve its goals, based on an understanding of business issues and opportunities in the context of user requirements and software capabilities.
  • Research and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Serve as contact for end users on all system related problems, questions, suggestions/enhancements, and troubleshooting requests.
  • Test, debug, and document system modifications and upgrades thoroughly and accurately.
  • Consults with Business Analysts, while serving as the liaison between end users, vendors, and internal IT staff to identify problems, suggest changes, and clarify user specifications.
  • Analyze and revise existing internal system documentation.
  • May assist in training other team members as necessary.
  • Responsible for end user and vendor communication.
  • Determine feasibility of internal enhancement requests against software documentation and vendor assistance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.
  • Complete all mandatory annual compliance training.
  • Follow regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC to assist in the identification, detection and determent of money laundering and other unlawful activities, as well as regulations pertaining to lending and consumer compliance to include fair lending laws.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer information systems, with a focus on system analysis and/or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in basic systems administration and user management.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control, system testing methodologies, and business documentation concepts.
  • Core software application proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of bank programs, and familiarity with federal and state banking regulations.
  • Ability to think analytically and conceptually.
  • Possess exceptional self-review skills.
  • Superior organization skills, written/verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess an intellectual curiosity for learning new systems.
  • Can successfully apply research methods into system issues and software capabilities.
  • Adapts to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Effectively manages competing demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
