2ndWave LLC (2ndWave) is seeking interested candidates to help in building our Federal Financial Management practice. This role will have the dual responsibility of developing business, thought leadership, and capabilities in implementing Federal financial management systems, along with delivering on existing Federal financial management engagements for our clients. This role will directly report into the firm's senior leadership. Candidates that meet the requirements outlined below are encouraged to apply:

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in managing programs on developing, enhancing, or maintaining systems for Federal grants management, Federal financial management systems, and/or Federal award systems.
  • Experience with managing projects of up to 15 staff members.
  • Experience working with direct interaction with mid-level and senior client personnel in eliciting and documenting functional requirements.
  • Experience with financial statements, audit remediation, and internal controls in compliance with OMB circulars.
  • Experience with budget formulation and execution processes and systems.
  • Experience with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and desk procedures.
  • Experience in performing quality assurance, testing, documentation, business process improvement, and data analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the current Federal financial environment, including applicable regulations, requirements, and existing solutions.
  • Capable of managing and further developing client relationships at strategic accounts.
  • Excellent verbal/written communications and high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in conceptualizing and writing reports/deliverables that synthesize a wide array of information and providing sound, thoughtful, and supportable recommendations.
  • Prior experience at "Big 4" or other similar firms highly desired.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certifications required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
