SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general supervision, the FSC Outreach Coordinator will work with the Family Services Collaborative Governance Commission and Director of Community Education to ensure the ongoing success of the current grant program of the St. Louis Park Family Service Collaborative and will engage in planning with leadership and stakeholders to identify assets, needs, and community partners including SLP schools to coordinate, and be accountable for opportunities that enrich, expand and support the District's mission and vision of Racial Equity Transformation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage collaborative partners in fulfilling the collaborative's goals by working together, convening appropriate stakeholders, and facilitating and sustaining their interactions.
  • Implement and evaluate SLP FSC projects and initiatives identified by the community board and school district.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and policies; financial reporting for the Local Collaborative Time Study.
  • Coordinate and implement all requirements related to the LCTS; communications, maintaining eligible school district staff lists, random moments, Hennepin County reports, etc.
  • Partners with SLP FSC Chair to coordinate and facilitate the FSC meetings; generating and dissemination of agenda and meeting minutes.
  • Partners with FSC Board to coordinate grant timeline, award criteria, and funding.
  • Partner with the Executive Board to facilitate the grant award process, inform grantees, and partner with the Director to track usage.
  • Lead FSC marketing efforts in a variety of mediums; website, catalogs, flyers, e-newsletters, and social media.
  • Participate in training, professional development, and networking groups as requested.
  • Show initiative and function as a self-starter.
  • Promote a positive image of the program by maintaining open and positive communication between sites, school staff and community.
  • Serve as a member of the Community Education community outreach team.
  • Assume other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge and experience working with culturally, economically, and socially diverse community organizations, groups, families, and individuals.
  • Technology skills and proficiency with word processing and communications, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Evidence of excellent communication, data management, reporting, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and group facilitation skills.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, clients, advocates, and representatives from community groups and government agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • The ability to communicate clearly to adults concerning policy, mission, and procedure, both written and orally. Establish relationships with other resources and organizations. Public speaking ability to promote programs, educate the public, and train staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields preferred, not required.
  • At least two (2) years of related work experience in coordinating community programming or organizational development.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English or Somali/English language skills are desirable.
