Job Summary

To execute and monitor internal transfers and outbound deliveries to internal and external customers ensuring on-time performance and maximum usage of resources. Will work with Terminal Managers and Logistics Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and dispatching cement & fly ash deliveries and transfers
  • Maximizing resources utilization giving priority to the dedicated fleet
  • Ensuring on-time delivery performance and meeting customer specifications and expectations
  • Calibrates loading and transportation capacity in Demand Fulfillment tool
  • Resolves contingencies in operation in order to meet delivery commitments
  • Updates order status in Demand Fulfillment tool
  • Attends and actively participates in employee communication meetings
  • Train other employees as needed
  • Performs all work as assigned by supervisor
  • Comply with all company policies and rules including safety regulations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or minimum 2 years of experience in logistics (dispatching).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work flexible hours under deadline pressure
  • Strong communications and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and general PC experience
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred
  • Experience in trucking or transportation
  • Some SAP experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of O.S.H.A rules and regulations
Working Conditions
  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location
Physical Requirements
  • Able to physically perform the essential functions
  • Able to work different shifts, work hours in excess of 8 per day; 40 per week, holidays and weekends as needed
