About Our Client
Our client is a leading supplier of Deep Draw and Stamped Components for Aerospace, Defense, Electric Vehicle, Medical, Satellite, Semiconductor, Mining, Electrical Connector, and other high-growth industries. Our client has over 100 Deep Draw and Progressive Stamping presses specializing in delivering high precision metal components.
The Design Engineer will participate in Engineering/Operations meetings, the creation, implementation and release of Engineering Change orders, communication, and presentation of design concepts to pertinent associates. Design and implement test procedures to assure that products meet quality and performance standards. Join our team of engineers and support technicians providing dedicated in-house unique and creative deep draw solutions.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibility of a Design Engineer is to work collaboratively with nearly all departments and teams to design, develop, and modify drawn and stamped metal components and their corresponding tooling, gauges and fixtures, and supporting parts for production machine maintenance and repairManage multiple complex projects at the same timeEnsure that all design projects are completed within budget and timeWork with customers to design and refine stamped and drawn components for manufacturability while meeting defined requirementsDesign tooling and components with SolidWorks and AutoCAD softwarePerform under ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949 and/or ISO13485 manufacturing standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Position Requirements:
Technical degree or equivalent engineering experience3-5 years design engineering experienceAdvanced theory of cutting and forming, ability to troubleshoot by reading a progressive strip, and knowledge of the theory of cutting and forming in the stamping and deep draw process. Knowledge of metalforming, drawing and stamping, tooling, and related manufacturing processesGood troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and comprehend blueprints What's on Offer Normal manufacturing working environmentLift, push and/or pull 50 poundsStand at least 95% of scheduled shiftRoutinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materialsSome exposure to noise, dirt, chemicals, and temperature variations (while using OSHA relevant PPE).-
