\tJob Description\r
\r
\tSupport the Lamb Weston Global Engineering team with several projects related to engineering in the manufacturing industry. A skilled mentor with be assigned to the intern for the duration of the internship. This mentor will provide training and complete weekly reviews to assess progress and answer questions.\r
\r
\tInterns will be assigned projects based on their skill sets and area of interest.

Projects and duties that may be assigned include but are not limited to:

Capital Projects:

\t\tCollaborate with the plant project engineers and leadership to complete capital projects including the development of new designs, policy standards, and technical engineering automation processes\r
\t\r
\t\tAssist in the design, revision, maintenance, performance analyses, and cost impacts of plant drawings. (Using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)\r
\r
\r
\t \r
\r

Design:
\r

\t\r
\t\tResearch and develop several detailed drawings and execute a review process within the Global Engineering Team by using established CAD standards and drawing nomenclatures\r
\t\r
\t\tOrganize and capable of planning and executing work against developed plans including contingency planning\r
\r
\r
\t \r
\r

Support/Controls:
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tAssist with the technical automation and control expert to support the needs of the plant with the day-to-day developments, troubleshooting, and maintenance\r
\t\r
\t\tInterface to equipment and instrumentation including optimization and calibration, specifying, and interface programming\r
\r
\r
\t \r
\r

Process Support (Utilities):
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tWith a focus on improving efficiencies of our plant equipment, this position will utilize existing tools and apply engineering principles to develop the structure, process, and plan with the goal of improving reliability and efficiencies in the manufacturing process support areas of boilers & steam systems, as well as refrigeration systems.\r

\t\tWork independently and engage with current Lamb Weston staff across different departments, in addition to following industry standards in the execution of assignments\r

Technical Innovation:
\r

\t\t

Research / develop innovative technology to drive business objectives (including but not limited to:
ideation, literature review, design, fabrication, testing, validation, standardization and/or report out) in one of the following areas: Foreign Material Removal, Cutting, New product technology optimization\r
\t\r
\t\tManage the above workflow in the allotted timeline whilst engaging technical innovation staff, lateral internal stakeholders, and possible outside vendor(s) related to project(s)\r

Technical Specifications:

\t\tResearch and develop several specifications by referencing industry standards and engage in the Technical Review Committee\r

Plant Reliability Engineering Intern:
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tAssist in the development and implementation of improved equipment reliability in a manufacturing environment through the identification and analysis of top losses, evaluation of work processes/new capital equipment, and management of repair and maintenance activities\r
\t\r
\t\tResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to, loss and root-cause analysis, daily/weekly preventative maintenance, and asset health reviews of existing equipment for the maintenance and production department\r
\r
\r

\r
\tBasic & Preferred Qualifications\r
\r
\t\r
\t\tMust be currently enrolled or a recent graduate of an Engineering or related program\r
\t\r
\t\tJuniors, Seniors, or Master's degree students preferred but also accepting recent grads\r
\t\r
\t\tMinimum GPA 3.0 preferred\r
\t\r
\t\tValid U.S. driver's license and ability to meet the Lamb Weston Authorized Driver standards \r
\t\r
\t\tExcellent verbal and oral communication skills \r
\t\r
\t\tAbility and willingness to work independently \r
\t\r
\t\tStrong analytical skills\r
\t\r
\t\tStrong computer competency and experience using a tablet and/or iPhone \r
