General Summary of Position

Job Summary:

Provide skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment and systems.

Primary Duties:

  1. Install equipment, assemble, connect, and repair piping and refrigerant lines.
  2. Install and maintain electrical controls and check the voltage.
  3. Place equipment in operations and test for satisfactory operations.
  4. Adjust pumps, humidifiers, filters, and valves and lubricate machinery and recharge systems with refrigerants.
  5. Examine equipment to detect defects such as leakage and faulty compressors and condensers.
  6. Clean air conditioners and condensing water-cooling towers and Maintain tools and equipment.
  7. Provide preventive maintenance of equipment, including checking and tightening belts, greasing motors, replacing bad belts, and changing filters.
  8. Maintain and repair the Ice Machines as a backup man to the ice machine tech and maintain and repair all kitchen equipment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. 5-7 years Minimum of five years' experience, preferably in a healthcare environment required. Journeyman License - JL Master's and/or Journeyman's License Upon Hire required. C/F/C Universal Certification Upon Hire required.
