Pine Point School seeks an energetic, caring, collaborative Lower School teacher. The School is committed to each child's academic, emotional, and social development through an inquiry-based, experiential program that fully engages our students in the learning process. This position includes teaching multiple subjects, including English language arts, mathematics, and social studies. While much of the instruction occurs by grade level, Lower School teachers also work in teaching teams with cross-grade learning groups to foster social-emotional learning, character development, and friendships. The responsibilities of this position include writing report cards/comments, conferencing with parents, participating in department and faculty meetings, various duties, and collaborating with our admissions office.

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree preferred
• Elementary teaching experience
• Knowledge of and experience with research-based literacy and mathematics programs and interdisciplinary and project-based learning
• Ability to organize, implement, and supervise a developmentally appropriate elementary learning program
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and apply culturally responsive pedagogy techniques to create a positive environment and a sense of safety, belonging, and engagement for every student.
• Differentiate instruction to support individual learners.
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Interest and commitment to facilitating outdoor education, including teaching in our outdoor learning spaces (e.g., our meadows and wooded trails)
• Cultivate positive relationships with children and their families
