NATURE OF WORK:

Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving maintaining public right of ways and the presentation of streetscape installations in the downtown Orlando area.
Duties include removing litter and maintaining public right of ways around event venues and business areas, removal of graffiti, and painting when needed.

Typical Work Hours: Typical work hours: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM



Minimum Requirements

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Some laborer experience in street or park maintenance required. Florida Driver License required. Must meet physical and environmental demands of working outdoors in all weather conditions for most of the day; exposure to insects, chemicals, and traffic fumes; danger of working in public right-of-way; and performing demanding physical labor. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work weekends and Holidays (day time and/or evening shifts).

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
