Summary

This position is located in the Division of Nursing Services at the Rosebud Comprehensive Health Care Facility at Rosebud, SD, which is in the Great Plains Area.

The purpose of the position is to serve as the deputy or assistant to the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE)/Director of Nursing (DON) in providing leadership, direction, and management in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the hospital's nursing services.



Duties
  • Direct oversight, management and supervision of the outpatient department; nurse education program; case management program, including a social service representative; public health nurse department; and if applicable, the operating room.
  • Assists with the development of organization wide patient care programs, policies and procedures.
  • Assists with the implementation of an effective, on-going program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients.
  • Assists with the analysis of work requirements, making short and long-range plans for the provision of nursing care.
