Job DescriptionUnder indirect supervision, the Radiographer performs quality diagnostic radiographic, interventional radiology and cardiac catheter procedures utilizing the concepts and principles of radiation protection/safety.Assesses patient condition, ensures patient safety through proper radiation safety practices and proper positioning devices.Processes all patients through the Meditech system before end of shift to ensure proper documentation and billing information.Prepares patient for sterile procedure according to department and hospital protocol.Demonstrates support and compliance with the UMMC Midtown Campus' mission, vision, values, philosophy, goals, objectives and policies.QualificationsRequired graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology School.Minimum one (I) year radiology, and six (6) months Interventional experience (willing to train the right individual) following graduation from an approved school.Candidate would be required to float between downtown and midtown campus as needed.
