Description

SAIC is looking a Security System Specialist to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide Network Engineering support for Cyber Security requirements to maintain Security Systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply patches, updates, program cameras and other security devices, upgrade switches, test fiber connectivity, test multicasting on decoders, update software, maintain user accounts, network configuration, hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Support new system developments for NAVSEA projects to be deployed by the warfighter.
  • Analyze DoD requirements and support lab and remote locations to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
  • Server building/configuration, PC deployments, Network and Systems administration and configuration, switches.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience; Master's degree and three (3) years experience. Experience required to be in CyberSecurity, Engineering, or Security Systems such as Genetec or AMAG.
  • Must be able to pass COMPTia Security +, or Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Level II qualifications within 30 days of hiring.
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • Some travel to Tampa, FL, King's Bay, GA, or Bangor, WA is expected, roughly 8-12 trips/year at one week each camp.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Genetec : prefer experience but can accept OJT
  • AMAG : prefer experience but can accept OJT
  • Veritas : prefer experience but can accept OJT
  • Manage Engine: prefer experience but can accept OJT
  • Prefer familiarity with VLAN routing, and routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Cisco Certified Entry Network preferred, or must have at least attended Cisco boot
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
