Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction This position is located at the Special Operations Command - South Operations Directorate (SOCSO-J3), Homestead, Florida.



Duties
  • Serves as an Intelligence Specialist for Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), Special Activities Division within the Operations Directorate.
  • Manages various disciplines that impact Homeland Security, protection of US interests abroad, and the supports the employment and protection of US military forces.
  • Performs wide-ranging geostrategic research and analysis projects encompassing geopolitics and globalization in economics, technology.
  • Conducts all-source intelligence analysis on conventional and asymmetric threats to U.S. interests worldwide.
  • Serves as the SOCSOUTH senior intelligence representative in the SOCSOUTH J3X.
  • Provides current intelligence updates and analysis on foreign and domestic threats.
