Observe activities of nursing staff and make recommendations to nursing management for improvement in the quality and effectiveness of nursing care given procedures designed to effect efficiency of operations. Required Qualifications at this Level. ExperienceOncology experience preferredTwelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required. At a manager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who are exceptional performers may be eligible for this level. CN Is are eligible for promotion to CN II by meeting criteria set forth by the DUHS Vizient Nurse Residency Program within 12 months of hire. Promotions can occur at 12 months of hire, but no later than 18 months of hire. Education, Degrees, Licensure, and/or CertificationGraduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within seven years of their start dateNurses hired at Duke Health with a valid compact license are required to obtain their North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of their start date.
