This position supports Storyville in maintaining the high-level quality and efficiency of the coffee brewing program. You will support departmental administration, maintain brewing projects, assist with bagging and fulfillment of coffee, and support policy, inventory and procedure standards.

This is an ideal job for an individual who has a love of coffee, enjoys being on their feet, and can flex between self-management and teamwork.

We are hiring two individuals for full-time employment. There are two shifts per day on Sunday through Thursday: one shift schedule begins early in the morning (4 am start) and the second begins in the afternoon (11:30 am start).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support department brewing responsibilities
    • Cold Brew
    • Brewing Efficiencies (process improvements and new projects)
    • Cleaning and maintaining of all brewing equipment.

Assistants will learn department fundamentals by shadowing experienced staff members:

  • Fulfillment basics: Shipping Labels, Shipping Whole Bean, Pods, Capsules (single - SKU orders)
  • Shift basics: Standard Shipper Assembly, Standard Subscription Orders, Station Setup & Breakdown
  • Basic Storyville Skills: Packing Pods, Capsules, 2 Mugs, Product QC (supervised by L4 or higher)
  • Professionalism, Effective Communication, Basic Understanding of Coffee Rotation & Retention Letters

COMPANY EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

This full time position receives:

  • An hourly rate of $20
  • 40 hours a week of consistent work. Includes a weekend work day and early morning or evening hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to bend, walk up stairs and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
  • Ability to visually inspect, taste and smell product to ensure quality
  • Operate and use all equipment necessary.
  • Process information through Computer/POS/inventory system.
  • Handle food and hot beverages or fluids.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the facility.
