Position Specific Description

Employees in this role will serve as a subject matter expert to lead the design and project management of competitive and cost effective total compensation programs, practices and solutions. This role will provide project management leadership to the compensation team and provide compensation services to assigned business unit(s) including total compensation administration, internal and external analysis, and consultation with business unit leaders and HR staff.

Lead the compensation projects team; provide clear communication and ensure all project deadlines are metServes as a project leader, mentor and coach to provide oversight of activities of compensation teamManage and document Performance Rewards process, post-process improvementsDetermine what automation and/or process improvement projects to implementEnsure Compensation manual and Storm Policy is up to date with all relevant processes and policyProvide ad-hoc reporting and miscellaneous project support as neededUtilize Agile project management and Jira to document project plansActs as a strategic partner to assigned business unit(s) in managing the needs assessment, design, and implementation of customer solutions related to compensation and reward servicesPerforms complex analysis, develops alternative recommendations, and formulates implementation strategies for job design and compensation and reward programsEnsures compensation practices and programs are competitive in order to attract, retain, and motivate employeesEvaluates the effectiveness of compensation programs in order to make recommendations for changeParticipates in market surveys and benchmarking of pay programsPrepares job descriptions, recommends corresponding compensation levels, and communicates recommendations in a concise, customer-focused formatAudits pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations and internal pay policiesPartners with information technology team and other internal partners to design effective compensation administration reporting toolsPerforms other job-related duties as assigned

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees a variety of large-scale projects of high complexityDevelops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reportsSecures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changesConducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysisIdentifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutionsProvides expert information to internal and external clients on complex issuesCreates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholdersConducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the projectProvides coaching, leadership and direction to project teamPerforms other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Grad / GEDBachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 6+ years

Master's DegreeProject Management Professional (PMP)
