We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiac Services team. This role involves consult work or surgery support and offers both full-time and PRN (as needed) positions with various shifts to accommodate different schedules.

Job Summary: As an Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiac Services at JHHS, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to cardiac patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultation. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care in both consultative and surgical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for cardiac patients.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
  • Assist in cardiac surgeries and provide perioperative care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiac health and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Maryland.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant by a recognized national certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in cardiac care.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing cardiac conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
