Job Overview: The Occupational Therapist will work with all MSD constituents to support students in the Toddler, Primary, and Middle School programs, through the lens of occupational therapy. They will partner with MSD staff, parents/caregivers, and external service providers to monitor student progress, implement supportive strategies, and promote use of best practices in the educational setting. The Occupational Therapist will be part of the MSD Student Support Team.

About Our School: MSD provides an engaging, empowering, and sound Montessori educational program for students ages 2-14. Our school is accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS), and the American Montessori Society (AMS) [1] . Founded in 1964, MSD is the oldest Montessori school in the Denver metro area. In 2015, MSD completed a comprehensive multi-million-dollar expansion plan to complement its existing facilities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • State licensure or license eligible in Colorado
  • Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing evidence-based intervention
  • Strong interpersonal skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • School-based experience
    • Experience with early childhood
    • Familiarity or direct experience with Montessori pedagogy or other student-centered learning environments
    • 5+ years of experience in the field of occupational therapy Reports to: Director of Student Support

      Department: Education (Student Support Team)

      Supervises: N/A

      FLSA Status: Full Time Exempt [2] , 40 hours/week; 190 days/year

      Compensation: Salary starting at $55,000; based on levels of education and experience
