Jobs – Management Auditor

The Department of Parks and Recreation Audits Office seeks to hire a qualified and motivated Associate Management Auditor (AMA). The AMA will work under the direction of the Staff Management Auditor and may independently perform the more difficult or complex internal operational audits of the department, concession audits, other engagements and audit activities and may act as a lead to an audit team providing general direction to ensure that objectives are achieved.

The incumbent must exercise good judgment working independently or in a team environment. This position requires direct contact with management representatives on a routine basis. The incumbent must have knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, standards and practices; research and information gathering techniques; function, organization and practices of California government. An in-depth understanding of the International Professional Practices Framework promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA); Government Auditing Standards; and other standards of the profession is required. The incumbent must have the ability to apply the standards within the form and format prescribed by the Audits Office and requires the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software.
