This position will be responsible for the operational oversight of the FDS personnel, and be responsible for conveying the company's objectives and priorities to staff and measure progress towards stated goals.
Job Description
This position is responsible for managing the daily duties of the FDS Processors including review, approval, signing checks and initiating wires and the Contract Administrator daily duties setting up Agreements. This position requires experience and solid understanding of construction job cost accounting, strict attention to detail, professional prompt communication with principals & Underwriters and critical thinking. Willingness to work with your team in completing assigned tasks while adhering to direct job duties is essential. Primary duties are to make sure Processors and Contract Administrator are given necessary documentation from principals and Underwriters to complete process in a timely manner. This position will communicate with principals on any questions concerning the Agreement or processing. This position will also be the primary contact for the financial institution servicing all the escrow accounts. It will maintain the day to day recording and collections for Fee billings, Prequalification billings and Mediation billings. Mediation settlement collections and distribution of those collected funds. Producing monthly reconciliations reports for escrow checking accounts, Prequalification and Mediation fees. Proficiency balancing general ledger accounts and notifying mediator or claims counsel of account changes.
Essential Functions:
1. Review draws for completeness & processing inaccuracies.
2. Update, edit or create new forms as needed for department.
3. Professional writing skills
Additional Functions:
1. Assist Processors and Contract Administrator with resolving issues from principals.
2. Provide Underwriters with information pertaining to principal and project.
3. Filing/File setups
Required Education/Experience:
High School Diploma, 10 years Construction accounting experience
Necessary Skills:
Deltek (ComputerEase) software
Microsoft Word, Excel; Internet
Multitasking skills
Problem-solving skills
Strong organization skills
Efficient verbal and written communication skills, and strong accounting skills.
