Dunwoody College of Technology is currently seeking an Adjunct Instructor in the Interior Design Program. Successful candidates will have a high level of technical competency and professional experience relevant to the course, as well as a desire to reinforce the mission and vision of the Program.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Each position is responsible for initiating the teaching and learning process with a focus on continuous improvement; creating an environment in which students can accomplish the learning competencies of the course of instruction; maintaining, updating, designing and developing new curriculum. The result should be students' abilities to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, ethics, and use of proper tools to strengthen the profession.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
- Maintain curriculum within the college's worldwide instructional design system.
- Instill professional principles, skills, and work ethics.
- Foster a studio culture in line with the Program's policies.
- Monitor and assess technical and academic progress and performance through college attendance and grading recording systems.
- Evolve established curriculum for the assigned course of instruction.
- Other duties as assigned

Course Description:Introduction to the tools, techniques, and principles of architectural drafting through hand and computer-aided methods. Communicate design intent with emphasis on interior working drawings through a small commercial studio

Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- A master's degree in interior design or related field; OR
- A bachelor's degree in interior design or related field and 18 credits of graduate-level coursework in interior design or related field
- Other standards as required by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) for faculty will also apply
Candidates should also have the following experience:
Strong digital print background Working knowledge of current version of Adobe Creative Suite Working knowledge of Apple Macintosh operating system
