We are seeking highly energetic Adjunct Clinical Instructors for an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the Baltimore area. As an Adjunct Clinical Instructor, the primary responsibility is the clinical education of students in the Notre Dame of Maryland University ABSN program. Clinical Instructors are assigned teaching responsibilities in a clinical area in the Baltimore area and are expected to contribute to the education of the students including skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking. Adjunct Instructors are accountable to the Director, Nursing Services of the ABSN program. Help support the next generation of nurses in your community

What You Will Do:

Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical settingProvide adequate guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism, practice, and researchSelects and organizes learning activities which facilitate the student's attainment of the course objectivesEnsure effective evaluations of student practicePromote evidence-based practiceProvide a supportive learning environment by providing feedback on student progress to supervisory personnelCollaborate with other faculty, administration as and with the healthcare partner and its staffAttend all required orientation, training and faculty meetingsWhat You Will Have:Clinical Competence: Able to function with professional accountability in clinical settingsTeaching Competence: Able to create a climate conducive to positive student learningTechnology Competence: Able to use computer technology (Word, Power Point, E-mail, and Internet) at a minimumPractice: minimum of two years of successful clinical nursing practiceTeaching experience: none required; prefer a minimum two years of teaching experience Education and CertificationsBachelor's degree in nursing required, Master's preferredCurrent unencumbered RN license in MarylandAble to work 12 hour shifts in a clinical setting if required
