The Opportunity:Global Capital Markets ("GCM") is ING's interface between the broader capital markets investor base and ING's Wholesale banking clients. GCM aims to credibly and effectively originate, structure and distribute all forms of credit and selected equity to the broader institutional investor base.The High Yield DCM team works closely together with coverage bankers and other product specialists in the ING network advising on capital structures and funding opportunities, and marketing and executing High Yield bond transactions for debut or repeat corporate and sponsor-owned issuers, projects or event driven situations.Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:You take ownership for a variety of DCM relationships across sectors and help to build the US HY bond business. You actively lead business development, origination and transactional activities.You act as the sponsor or deal captain for certain DCM transactions, obtaining the necessary internal approvals, and being the principal point of contact externally and internally.You take the lead in key transaction management activities.You coordinate of all aspects of a pitch or the execution of a live transaction, ensuring high quality deliverables to clients at all times. Prepare internal underwriting requests for new transactions. Lead internal syndicate discussions.Undertake frequent internal discussions with sector and sponsor coverage bankers to identify business opportunities.You oversee and review the work of junior team members.You are able to lead without a formal management role and gather the support and resources necessary to serve the client and execute on dealsYou keep product, (relevant) sector and market knowledge up to date.Attain revenue targetsProfileQualifications / Education:Minimum of BA/BS in Business or related field.Minimum of 5 years' of experience in Global Capital Markets or related fieldSeries 79, 63 licensesExperience / Knowledge:You are an experienced, fully qualified individual capable of independent activity including origination, structuring and execution of large, complex bond transactions in the High Yield bond market.You have proven client relationship skills as well as extensive product knowledge technical expertise and strong transaction execution skills.You possess superior client relationship, marketing presentation and sales skills in addition to deep understanding of products and markets.You have strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Bloomberg skills.Competencies:Highly professional, articulate and committed individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment successfully managing multiple competing demands.Customer focus; strong business insightStrategic thinker – can-do and visionary mindsetHighly effective teammate - ability to contribute and cooperate across organizational functions and levelsPassionate by capital marketsBase Salary Range: $230K - $270KIn addition to comprehensive health benefits, a generous 401k savings plan, and competitive PTO, ING provides a broad array of benefits including adoption, surrogacy, and fertility services; student debt assistance; and subsidies for expenses associated with working from home, commuting, and fitness.ING is a committed equal opportunity employer.
