SECRETARY (DATA SCIENCE)

Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC)


Starting at $3,552 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

Exempt, non-civil service, temporary, full-time appointment. This position supports the Data Science Office (DSO) within the Disease Outbreak Control Division (DOCD). The Secretary serves as a trusted personal assistant which requires a close and confidential relationship with the Data Science Chief and an overall awareness of the activities and administrative framework of organization. The position performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties from managing the Data Science Chief's calendar to ensuring administrative needs are met for the office.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION: College or business school graduate preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible specialized clerical experience which includes the full range of office services in records and files maintenance, work and mail processing, purchasing, inventory control budget preparation, and personnel services. Experience in typing correspondence, reports and other materials, which demonstrates knowledge of the English grammar, spelling and math.

LICENSE: Valid State of Hawaii driver's license preferred.
