Job Summary

Is responsible for promoting, leading and monitoring the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment approach in line with the Group's primary value, Safety, and related policies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide all sampling and testing information required for HRI Inc. inspection staff, and owners representative
  • Conduct daily meetings with onsite staff to discuss daily testing needs Keep up to date with all current and developing technologies required to perform the job
  • Responsible for safely operating, maintaining, and caring for assigned testing equipment
  • Designing new PennDOT certified HMA mix designs
  • Assist asphalt plant team members during production/maintenance
  • and criteria
  • Conduct follow-up to review results and any findings that may affect construction or payment
  • Keep thorough records of all sampling, testing, and calculations performed on project for submission
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to maintain a clean driving history
Skills
  • No experience required, will provide training
  • Previous experience and knowledge with mix designs, sampling, testing of asphalt, and/or related fields preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
  • Lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Use hands to move and manipulate objects
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, fuel, oil, and other chemicals and airborne particles
  • Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, Overtime as required
  • Must follow the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Proven track record working safely
  • Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
  • Some travel might be required
