General Civil, Administrative Law and Ethics: General Civil/Administrative law includes, but is not limited to, quality force management, standards of conduct and ethics, investigations, congressional inquiries, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests, regulation review and interpretation, member financial responsibility, and command authorities and responsibilities.

Labor and Employment Law, Environmental Law and Litigation Support.

Labor and employment law includes, but is not limited to, civilian employee discipline, workplace discrimination, union-management relations, collective bargaining, workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, affirmative action plans, and other civilian personnel issues.

Contracting and Acquisition Law.

Contract law includes, but is not limited to, pre and post-award contract advice, as well as advice on contractor and government procurement claims and termination actions, bid protests, bankruptcy actions, intellectual property claims, contract ratification actions, procurement fraud, non-appropriated fund instrumentalities, contractor employee issues, strategic sourcing, fiscal law, utility and housing privatization, contractor visits and capability presentations, and small business matters.

Domestic Operations and Intelligence Oversight.

Serves as a civilian attorney for the Office of the Judge Advocate with responsibilities for legal and policy guidance on CONR and 1 AF (AFNORTH) missions in homeland defense, homeland security, and defense support to civil authorities (DSCA).

The incumbent will be an expert in National Guard duty statuses and related statutory limitations associated with utilizing those forces.

Performs thorough legal research on a wide variety of complex legal issues requiring detailed investigation and analysis of Federal and state statutes, judicial opinions, and DoD Service, Coast Guard, and State Guard regulations.
