Custom Mold & Design, a Velosity Company is looking for a CNC Hard Mill Machinist on the 2nd shift to join our team in Forest Lake, MN. This role involves machining precision hardened mold components with Rockwell hardness ranging from 42Rc to 62Rc. CMD provides employees with top-notch equipment like high-end hard mill CNC's, inspection tools, and fixtures for the best results. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position does not have direct reports.

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of mold making experience in a tool shop. Technical or trade school degree preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in machining technologies.
  • Valid identification for legal work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines for precision machining.
  • Interpret technical blueprints to meet part specifications.
  • Perform machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with engineers for custom projects.
  • Maintain detailed production records.
  • Follow safety procedures for a secure work environment.
  • Work well in a team environment with attention to detail.
Work Conditions:

This professional tool shop offers a non-smoking environment with standard lighting and climate control. Candidates should be able to lift 30-50 lbs, conduct repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and wear safety equipment.
