About the Position: This is a Security Guard, GS position located at Tooele Army Depot, Law Enforcement & Security Division.

This is a Public Notice for positions being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c).

• Guard and patrol, on foot or by vehicle, controlled and limited security areas.
• Protect persons, property, and security information against hazards such as fire, espionage, trespass, theft, and accidental or willful
• Ensure buildings are secure and there are no safety or security deficiencies, and initiate the proper action to correct problems.
• Assist local authorities in the event of an emergency situation by setting up road blocks, investigate accidents, enforce motor vehicle regulations, and direct traffic.
• Monitor the radio networks, maintain logs of patrol and events happening during shift.
• Utilize extraordinary security measures and special knowledge and skills to protect arms and ammunition and other materials potentially hazardous to the health and safety of the public.
