Software support engineer will be a key member of the Global Business Systems organization with responsibility for supporting the Billing mediation platform. In addition to establishing and maintaining good working relationships internally, this position will participate in various cross-functional organizational initiatives.

The Software support engineer (Billing Mediation and Analytics Support) will be a key member of the Global Business Systems organization with responsibility for supporting the billing mediation platform. In addition to establishing and maintaining good working relationships internally, this position will participate in various cross-functional organizational initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work on solving business issues by demonstrating creative, strategic thinking and problem solving; able to exercise independent judgment in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology.
  • Responsible for data configurations, testing activities and aspects of reporting.
  • Identify/troubleshoot application and/or code-related issues.
  • Experienced in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Preferred experienced in SAP Convergent Mediation Application, HANA DB.
  • Preferred experience in Python, Java, SAP BODS, SAP Business Objects and Google cloud technologies.
  • Sabre GDS experience preferred. Billing Support experience preferred.
  • Has the ability to coordinate and communicate cross-functionally with both business and technical partners.
  • Support post implementation activities by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as identified in the project plan.
  • Translates business requirements into solution designs including technical specifications and recommended process changes.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills with technical and non-technical clients.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality standards.
  • Must have experience in and contribute to all phases of software development life cycle.
  • May code individual modules and complex functions.
  • Under general direction, analyzes, programs and implements internally developed software applications or packaged solutions including SAP, Digital Route and other software solutions.
  • Ensures existing software applications can be integrated into software solutions.
  • Possesses an understanding of system architecture and makes recommendations that facilitate stability.
  • Works under minimal supervision on complex projects and may assist less experienced peers.
  • Wide latitude for independent judgment. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in fast paced Software Development in Agile environment
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of cloud-based tech/languages, technology stacks, etc.
  • Proficient English, both written and verbal
  • Self-disciplined and commitment oriented
